Jenny Graham and Toni Spencer, Designers and Creators of Velvet, long known for its t-shirts and dresses, have introduced a new luxury collection called “Graham and Spencer.”
The focus is on new shapes as well as the contrast of texture. The materials include a soft, light-weight fleece contrasted with silk charmeuse, silk habotai, and feather weight laundered wool. The collection will include an array of dresses, skirts, tunics, leggings, jackets and coats. The palette is entirely and deliberately neutral: black, charcoal, ink and chocolate informed by touches of butter and snow.
Jenny Graham explains, “We’ve been feeling that there is a real void in the marketplace for this kind of look: Something contemporary, luxurious, yet young and hip at the same time.”
“Creatively, it’s a completely new and fresh direction,” says Toni Spencer. “The response by retailers has been wonderful. We can’t wait to bring the collection to consumers.”
